Our Story

At Kalogia, we realize that operating in the cannabis industry is challenging. We come to work everyday because we realize cannabis is what the United States and the World needs.

Cannabis has the power to unlock many of the problems Americans are facing in 2017. Cannabis can help curb the opioid crisis that America is suffering from. Cannabis can provide job and economic growth to both small agricultural towns and metropolitan cities. Cannabis can provide a safe community where thought leaders gather, share ideas, and make the world a better place.

Our goal as a Company is to create a safe and fair business space for the cannabis industry.  We will work hard for all Kalogia members to ensure that you have access to affordable professional services and products, have access to information to understand the constantly changing regulatory environment, and that you have the ability to participate financially in one of the fastest growing industries in the world.  

From extensive industry experience and knowledge, we are building an online ecosystem to solve the biggest pain point in this industry: affordable business training and business networking.

What is Kalogia?

Kalogia (pronounced kalo-gia) unites cannabis professionals and advocates globally in the green economy. Kalogia is an exclusive online portal into cannabis regulation, reform and education; offering established and new businesses the chance to connect with others. Kalogia is an information platform where like-minded entrepreneurs can exchange ideas and garner facts; creating a symbiotic place for an evolving and important part of today’s cannabis forward culture. Kalogia is a community where there are no walls, where boundaries are dissipating with every vote to legalize; creating jobs while simultaneously elevating businesses towards a greener tomorrow.

Simone Cimiluca-Radzins, CPA
Founder and CEO
Simone is the CEO of Kalogia with a simple goal: to help entrepreneurs, startups, and rapidly growing companies reach financial freedom through the Kalogia platform.

Simone’s expertise is in business strategy, finance, risk management, and business process improvement. She has improved business operations for hundreds of clients around the world. With a background in Big 4 public accounting and international consulting for Fortune 500 companies, Simone has lived and worked in Spain and France and has assisted clients throughout Latin America, Western and Northern Europe, and the Asia Pacific region.

Simone is an active member of the cannabis business community in both Southern California and the Pacific Northwest. She is the founder and host of Cannabis Business Minds podcast, has spoken on NPR and 420Radio; has lectured on the US cannabis economy in Prague and Costa Rica, and has given multiple talks at Cannabis Finance Bootcamp and other cannabis industry events.

 

Simone graduated with dual degrees in Spanish and Accounting from the University of Oregon and holds an active CPA certificate from the State of Oregon.

Jean-Nicolas Bayette
Product Designer Lead
JN is the creative force behind Kalogia. From user interviews and creating user personas, wireframes and user experience leading a team of developers, JNs background in visual design and UX is what brought an idea to market.

JN designs experiences across multiple platforms, that address user needs and pain points. JN has close to a decade of experience designing killer customer experiences for iOS, Android and the web with both a consumer and B2B focus. As a competent front-end developer, he is able to design web interfaces that push technical limits AND implement them himself.

Jean Nicolas has worked on projects for companies including Google, PwC, Barclays, La Poste, and Coca Cola…just to name a few.

JN has worked and lived in Paris, Montreal, and Los Angeles. JN graduated from the University of Paris with a bachelor degree in multimedia and worked on his masters at Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée.

Paul Stewart
CTO
Paul recently joined Kalogia as CTO to help us refine and implement our technical strategies. He’s been designing, developing and managing community-oriented web sites and applications since the days on the text-only web. Paul got his start developing community sites in the dot-com days of the late 1990s and was the technical chops behind one of the first ever community sites, Make Out Club, which predates both MySpace and Facebook.

Paul is currently Founder and Director of Development at Arck Interactive, a boutique web development agency, ArckCloud, a managed hosting company; and Founding Partner at MedEdQR, a startup developing mobile tools for case-based medical learning.

In the past, Paul has worked in development and technical management roles for Dell/Perot Systems, New England Medical Center the United States Department of Transportation, Trivantis Corporation and The World Bank.

Paul lives with his wife and two young daughters in rainy Portland, OR.

Robert Pudlik
Chief Product Officer
Robert leads product strategy at Kalogia. He has over 12 years of experience leading product teams at Gerson Lehrman Group, eMusic, and most recently as the VP of Product Management at Scrollmotion.

He trained under Marty Cagan of the Silicon Valley Product Group and has experience bringing multiple, new products to market, with a focus on SaaS and mobile.

Robert has lived in New York, London, and Atlanta, and currently resides in Portland, OR
